Hawaiian Shores

$600.00

This surface design began with a bold, oversized hibiscus—cut from fabric I picked up in Maui, a place that holds a special meaning for me (I got married there!). From the start, I knew I wanted to create something that felt like Hawaii, a tribute to its vibrant colors and deep personal connection.

The rest of the fabrics? All hand-dyed by me, using a mix of techniques to bring out rich textures and movement. Layer by layer, I stitched everything together with a combination of machine embroidery, free-motion stitching, and hand-sewn details, letting the piece evolve organically.

The result is a lush, textured celebration of color, memory, and craftsmanship—perfect for anyone who loves Hawaii, fiber art, or just something beautifully unique.
