Fleur
This piece started with cut-out floral patterns from a vibrant fabric, but it really came to life when I stumbled upon some playful chinoiserie fabric. The mix of bold florals and intricate patterns felt just right.
While experimenting with my new Brother machine, I created the background, layering textures and stitches to build depth. Then, using free-motion embroidery, I stitched the flowers into place, letting them flow naturally into the design. Finally, I added stitched stems to bring everything together.
The result? A dynamic blend of pattern, movement, and texture—perfect for anyone who loves a little bit of structure with a touch of spontaneity.
